Wanted DOA is a video slot from Playtech. It has 5 reels, 25 paylines and a maximum bet of 250 coins. The game has a western theme in which the outlaws are wanted dead or alive. The outlaws are Bearded Outlaw, Mustachioed Outlaw and Masked Outlaw. The high value cards from Ten to Ace are also represented on the reels as actual playing cards. This is because playing cards was a known Western pastime. The wild symbol is Dynamite Sticks, the scatter symbol is Cash Sack and the bonus symbol is Pistol. The scatter and bonus symbols trigger bonus games.
The introductory clip shows a Wanted poster of an outlaw which he tears down. The reels are set in the inside of a wooden saloon. A horse can be seen drinking water outside and a lizard scampering up a wooden post. The Sheriff is smoking his cigarette. All the outlaws exhibit animation. The Masked Outlaw removes the pin from a grenade and the Bearded Outlaw fires his pistol. But more than the animations it is the audio that generates the interest. The masterstroke is the gunshot that announces winning combinations. Full Review - Wanted DOA (9.72)
Before starting the game players will have to choose the coin denomination by operating the +/- signs on either side the coin denomination button. Coin denominations are 0.01, 0.05, 0.10, 0.25, 0.50, 1.00, 2.00 and 5.00. Players will also have to enable up to twenty-five paylines. The lines can be increased one at a time using the SELECT LINES button. Winning combinations pay only if they occur in enabled paylines. Finally players will have to choose the number of coins per line by operating the BET PER LINE button. In Wanted DOA players can choose up to 10 coins per line. Once the settings have been completed the game can be started by clicking the SPIN button.
The Dynamite Sticks is the wild symbol. Five of these in an enabled payline offer a fixed jackpot of 10000 coins. The Cash Sack is the scatter symbol. The scatter symbols do not result in scatter payouts. Nor do they trigger free spins. Three or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels trigger the Mini Bonus round. In this round players get to pick a prize. There are three cash sacks to choose from and each awards a different amount. The more scatter symbols are on screen, the higher are the amounts. A Revolver bonus symbol scattered on the first and last reels takes players to the second screen to play the bonus round. There players are given six bullets to shoot the villain, who is hiding in one of six locations. The fewer bullets used, the higher is the bonus amount.
Wanted DOA offers Playtech’s Dollar Ball progressive jackpot. A separate wager has to be made for this by activating the button on the top right of the screen. The players pick 5 numbers out of 49. Then five numbers are drawn randomly. The more numbers match the player’s selection, the more he wins. If all five numbers match, he wins the progressive jackpot.
